Mrs. Garrett serves as a BRAC Liaison (Base Realignment and Closure). This position provides transitioning support and resources for multiple stakeholders within school districts significantly impacted by current military Base Realignment and Closure initiatives.
Her previous position was Director of Family and Community Partnerships for a community action agency Head Start program. Mrs. Garrett monitored program performance in family and community services, developed policies and procedures, and strengthened agency community relations in multiple counties.
Mrs. Garrett was an Education Specialist in the Educator Preparation and Certification department at ESC Region 12. She trained and supervised teacher interns as well assisted the newly created principal preparation and certification program.
She has taught Lions-Quest Skills for Adolescence, American History, and AVID, in addition to coaching volleyball, basketball, and track. She has also served as an AVID Campus Coordinator.
