Mrs. Marshall-Higgins is the Communications Coordinator
for the Education Service Center (ESC) Region 12. One of 20 regional
education service centers, ESC Region 12 provides professional
development and services to educators and staff at 78 school districts
and 10
charter schools in 12 counties.
Her current job includes writing, media and public
relations, photography, publication design, internal communications,
marketing, event planning, web support, and strategic planning.
Her target audience is educators and administrators, students, parents,
legislators, and the Region 12 community which encompasses 12 counties.
Jennifer has six years of experience in communications,
public relations, and publication design and a year of experience
in event planning and retail management. She is active in the local
Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) as well as the state
chapter of the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA).
She currently serves as a regional vice-president for TSPRA. Jennifer
and the Office of Communications has received many awards from
TSPRA for work on publications and publicity projects during
the last two years. Jennifer has held positions in the higher education
and non-profit sector as well as the tourism and retail management
industry.
She will finish a master's of marketing from Texas A&M-Commerce in August 2006. Jennifer is also an active member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce.
