Handheld Technology Administrators’ Academy
Handheld technology offers a cost-effective tool for instructional and administrative tasks such as delivering instruction, accessing and managing student information, recording data from observations and walk-throughs, accessing resources, assessing student learning and, with the right hardware, accessing the internet wirelessly.

This two-day academy designed for district and school leaders provides “hands-on” experience in the use of handheld technology for teaching, learning, and administration. Each participant will receive a handheld computer and case, expansion card, wireless keyboard, and software.

What you will learn in this academy:

  • How to use handheld technology to increase your efficiency in daily interactions with teachers, students, and community
  • How to identify and select handheld software to meet your needs as a school administrator
  • The value of handheld technology as an instructional tool in the classroom
