Activity 3.2 Basic Web Page Creation Using HTML

  1. Complete the following sections at Chris's HTML Tutorial Center:
    • Section I Basic HTML
    • Section II Intermediate HTML I
  2. Create the following two web pages in HTML using NotePad. Use the Webmonkey.com HTML Cheatsheet as a reference.

    Page 1
    -
    Add the title: “Introduction to HTML” The title will be in Arial Font and will be blue in color. It will also be H2 in Size.
    -
    Under the title will be a brief paragraph describing HTML. The text for this paragraph will be in Arial font in black.

    Under the paragraph will be a link to the second page entitled “Learn More…”
    -
    This page will be saved in a folder entitled “html” on your Desktop with the name default.html 

    Page 2
    -
    Add the title: “Adding Graphics”. The title will be in Arial Font and will be green in color. It will also be H2 in Size. Falls at Natural Bridge State Park
    -
    Under the title will be a brief paragraph describing how to insert a graphic onto a web page. The font for this paragraph will be black Arial in size 2.

    Under the paragraph insert this picture of the Falls at Natural Bridge State Park in Arizona downloaded from http://www.pics4learning.com.

    Under the graphic will be a link to the first page.

    This page will be saved in a folder entitled html practice on your Desktop with the name graphics.html.

    Test you pages to insure everything works and looks the way you want.
    Once completed notify the instructor for grading.

  3. Record in your journal your most favorite and least favorite thing about creating a web page with HTML.
