  Web Mastering Concepts
The main concepts included in the Web Mastering Course TEKS are as follows:
 
  • Learn fundamentals of navigating and using the Internet
  • Use appropriate search strategies for acquisition of information from the Internet
  • Analyze the impact of the World Wide Web (WWW) on society
  • Evaluate design and functionality of WWW pages
  • Discuss copyright laws and model ethical acquisition and use of digital information
  • Create text, image, video (analog and digital), and audio files for use on web pages
  • Create and edit WWW documents using established design principles
  • Create web pages using HTML
  • Create, publish and manage web sites using Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash
  • Demonstrate ability to set up security for a web site
  • Add interactivity and other advanced elements to web sites
  • Develop and maintain web sites for authentic customers
