Marilyn Booth
Education Specialist--School Health (2004-present)

BA-Physical Education & Health, Lenior Rhyne College, Hickory, North Carolina
MAT-Physical Education, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Mrs. Booth has 35 years of experience in education. She taught in the undergraduate required Physical Education program at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill for one (1) year and at North Carolina State University for four (4) years. After getting married, she moved to Western North Carolina. She taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade at Swannanoa Middle School. Mrs. Booth taught Physical Education, Health, Science and Chapter I/Title I Reading. She was Teacher of the Year in 1987 and Health Educator of the Year in 1988.

In 1989, she and her family moved to Temple, Texas where she taught Physical Education for 15 years at Meridith-Dunbar Elementary School. In addition to her educator roles, she has been the co-intramural director (5 years), Talent Show co-director (12 years) and webmaster and campus technology liaison (2 years).

She has published articles in Great Activities, September-October 2003 and March-April, 2003.
