Diabetes Resources

School Walk for Diabetes - SWFD is an educational fund-raising program that promotes community service, school spirit and healthy living to students. It’s easy to coordinate this fund-raising program at your school. You can host the event indoors or outdoors, during any season and for any length of time or distance. All kids can participate in School Walk for Diabetes, regardless of physical or learning abilities. And the American Diabetes Association (ADA) helps you by providing materials to help you plan, promote and complete this program.

Students learn valuable lessons on diabetes prevention and how to lead a healthy lifestyle through exercise and good nutrition choices while earning great prizes for themselves and PE Equipment/Nursing Supplies for the school.

If you sign up before August 1st, you will receive a Welcome Back Basket when school starts again. Visit www.diabetes.org/schoolwalk to sign up today or call Janelle Ramirez at 888-342-2383 ext 6117 to set up a meeting to learn more about SWFD.
