Ms. Shampo is an Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist who serves students who are blind or have a visual impairment. She performs this specialty within the Region 12 districts for students birth to 22 years of age. Ms. Shampo has 6 years of experience in O&M and 5 years of experience in secondary education. She provides instruction for students who are blind or visually impaired in safe, efficient and independent travel skills in their home/neighborhood environments, schools, communities, public places ,in use of public transportation and in recreation and leisure. In addition she provides instruction in daily living skills and self-advocacy skills.

Ms. Shampo provides training in the use of monoculars, map making, assistive mobility devices and other strategies to assist and enhance safe, efficient and independent travel for those blind or visually impaired.
